Hey everyone! I hope you all have been doing great!

We've been quite busy, so we are very sorry that this entry is a couple of days late.

But, the theme for this month is going to be quite fun for all of us.

What is the theme? It's GREEN! Now, wait, before you say "Lame!", it actually has an awesome twist to it. What's the twist?

If your submission has green in it, it's goes into the contest. That's right, no specifics, no detailed requirements (besides it has to be knit/crochet/felted etc.), just something with green in it to make sure it doesn't get pinched!

Yes, that also means it doesn't have to be entirely green. Want to knit a shawl that's white with green trim? Awesome! How about crochet a hat with a green pom pom on top? Go for it!

Now, here are the rules:

- Entries can be of anything you would otherwise be able to submit to the group. The bottom line: have it be fiber art. That includes knitting, crochet, felting, and creations made using fibers.

- Limit 3 entries per person. We know you all create things 24/7, so we cannot accept 10+ entries from one person (even though we would love to see all of them!).

- NEW entries only! You guys create awesome things, so we would love to see you guys create something new just for this contest; it makes it so much more exciting to see what you guys come up with! This includes that the entry must be EXCLUSIVE for this contest, and cannot be submitted to other group contests (that voids the entry being "new").

- You MUST have the group icon :icondaknitters: somewhere in your description. You can do this by typing : icondAKnitters : minus the spaces.

- Please also state in the description that it is for the March 2015 contest.

- Submit your entry to the folder, "March 2015 Contest". The folder is open today, and will remain open until April 1st.

Now, it's not a fun contest without PRIZES! We have three places for you guys, so here are the prizes for each place.

First place:

- 200 points from :iconcloudpow:
- Journal Feature and Llama from :iconwildphoenix22:
- Journal Feature and Llama from :icondaddys-girl1997:
Other prizes TBD

Second Place:

- Journal Feature and Llama from :iconwildphoenix22:
- Journal Feature and Llama from :icondaddys-girl1997:
Other prizes TBD

Third Place:

- Journal Feature and Llama from :iconwildphoenix22:
- Journal Feature and Llama from :icondaddys-girl1997:
Other prizes TBD

(TBD = To Be Determined)

Along with those prizes, if you guys (members) would like to contribute a prize, no matter how small, to the list, please feel free to comment with what you wish to contribute!

With all that being said, the LAST day for submissions is March 31st, with the winners to be announced on April 4th (to allow all the judges fair time to judge the entries).

READY. SET. YARN!

Hello everyone! 2015 is off to an exciting (and fast!) start. Here we are in February, and what better way to celebrate than with the theme that you have been seeing all around you:

LOVE

 :iconvalentinesdayplz: :iconbigheartplz:

Now, just because it's love, doesn't mean it has to be red! Hearts come in many different colours and forms. This also includes words of affection, "I Love you" "Kiss me" "FREE HUGS" etc. (remember, family friendly submissions please).

Now, here are the rules:

Hello, everyone! I need to apologize for not showing up in over a month, but I had problems of my own and went through a tough time. I'm back to work now!

Hello. Thank you for your continued interest in the group. :)

Please remember to read the guidelines of a challenge before submitting to the challenge folder. I'm a fan of WoW, but the theme for the November 2014 Challenge is Native American Heritage. :)

Funny thing, I don't remember submitting it to the challenge folder... I just hit the submit art right on the home page of the group.

Ah, okay. Try submitting the deviation from the deviation page itself to the group.

People, I need help! Since I learned knitting and crochet by myself, there still are a lot of things I don't really know how to make them. I'm doing a blanket in knitting and want to cross stitch the picture on it. Now, I know how you finish the loose ends of yarn in cross stitch, but since we're talking about blankets here, do I just hide the loose ends behind the stitch? Isn't it dangerous, like, with time won't it loose itself when washing, etc?

To avoid loose stitching, double back at the ends of your stitching as you would on a sewing machine. You can also add a lightweight backing to the blanket for added comfort from the bare stitching itself. Also, when it comes to washing handmade items, it is suggested to wash it either by hand, or on a delicate cycle on the washing machine, and drying it in the air, or on a low-tumble dry setting.

Good luck!
