April 2015 Contest

2015 is going by a little too quickly! Summer time is soon to arrive!

Let's have some fun for this contest. We don't know about you guys, but we here at dAKnitters LOVE to play video games of all types. PC, console, mobile, you name it, we've probably played it.

So for April, we have come to the decision to have a fun contest theme: VIDEO GAMES.

Just like last month, there are no item restrictions to this contest. If you want to knit a blanket with a Mario mushroom on it, sweet. Crochet the Xbox "X" onto a hat? Awesome! Make a scarf using the colours from Mass Effect? We'll take it! As long as it relates to video games in some form or fashion (and is knit, crochet, felted, etc.) then it applies to the contest.

Note: Please identity the name of the game (or if using a company logo, name the company) for ourselves as well as fellow members to know what the item is referencing. There are SO many games out there, it's best to have at least a little hint on what your creation is based on.





Now, here are the rules:

- Entries can be of anything you would otherwise be able to submit to the group. The bottom line: have it be fiber art. That includes knitting, crochet, felting, and creations made using fibers.

- Limit 3 entries per person. We know you all create things 24/7, so we cannot accept 10+ entries from one person (even though we would love to see all of them!).

- NEW entries only! You guys create awesome things, so we would love to see you guys create something new just for this contest; it makes it so much more exciting to see what you guys come up with! This includes that the entry must be EXCLUSIVE for this contest, and cannot be submitted to other group contests (that voids the entry being "new").

- You MUST have the group icon somewhere in your description. You can do this by typing : icondAKnitters : minus the spaces.

- Please also state in the description that it is for the March 2015 contest.

- Submit your entry to the folder, "April 2015 Contest". The folder is open today, and will remain open until May 5th. We usually close the folder on the 1st, but due to being late to announce the last contest's winners, we are giving you guys a few more days to work with.



Now, it's not a fun contest without PRIZES! We have three places for you guys, so here are the prizes for each place.

With all that being said, the LAST day for submissions is May 4th, with the winners to be announced on May 9th (to allow all the judges fair time to judge the entries).
