September 2014 Contest!

The temperatures are cooling down (not so much in the south, but oh well) and it's getting close to Halloween , then Thanksgiving and finally Christmas ! But wait, before we get going on those holidays, we have to prep for them first!

So, in preparation for the upcoming cooler months, we have decided on a much needed theme for our September 2014 contest!

HATS!


What does this category mean? It means, if it can be worn as a hat, it counts for the contest. Any form of a hat (top hat, beanie, slouchy, felted, etc.) is accepted!



Now, here are the rules:

- Entries can be of anything you would otherwise be able to submit to the group. The bottom line: have it be fiber art. That includes knitting, crochet, felting, and creations made using fibers.

- Limit 3 entries per person. We know you all create things 24/7, so we cannot accept 10+ entries from one person (even though we would love to see all of them!).

- NEW entries only! You guys create awesome things, so we would love to see you guys create something new just for this contest; it makes it so much more exciting to see what you guys come up with! This includes that the entry must be exclusive for this contest, and cannot be submitted to other group contests (that voids the entry being "new").

- You MUST have the group icon somewhere in your description. You can do this by typing : icondAKnitters : minus the spaces.

- Please also state in the description that it is for the September 2014 contest.

- Submit your entry to the folder, "September 2014 Contest". The folder is open today, and will remain open until October 1st.


Now, it's not a fun contest without PRIZES! We have three places for you guys, so here are the prizes for each place.

1st place:

Along with those prizes, if you guys (members) would like to contribute a prize, no matter how small, to the list, please feel free to comment with what you wish to contribute!


With all that being said, submissions will be accepted until September 30th, with the winners to be announced on October 4th (to allow all the judges fair time to judge the entries).
